Meet the wine

Viognier (“vee-own-yay”) is a full-bodied white wine, with roots in the Rhîne Valley region in Southern France. It’s known for its perfumed, floral aromas and its crisp and refreshing, yet creamy mouthfeel.

The Viognier is Campovida’s flagship estate grape, grown on the winery’s own vineyards in Hopland. The hand-drawn leaves on the can are a nod to Campovida’s “Shades of Green” farming philosophy — the winery uses all organic and biodynamic fruit. With two Gold Medals and 96 point rating, this is the wine to turn you into a can fan.

Meet the maker

Meet Anna. Her pseudonym is “life gardener.” She takes seeds of ideas, plants and nurtures them — like buying a deserted vineyard in the heart of Mendocino county.

Meet Gary. He finds old forgotten properties and rehabs them. As Anna says, “he can find a parking lot and make it a possibility.” Together they kicked their corporate jobs, cashed in their 401ks, and took a chance on 50 acres of wild vines.
