Meet the wine
Paso Robles is Zin paradise, considered a near-perfect place to grow Zinfandel since the 19th century. The long growing season and extreme temperature swings make it ideal for dry-farmed grapes and full-bodied fruit.
Grapes from Dusi are synonymous with quality and care - their hand-harvested, sustainably farmed fruit has been featured in iconic bottles from Ridge to Turley. And now it's Janell's time to shine. This wine is a special combination of two iconic Dusi Zinfandel vineyards, bringing together the big and spicy elements of Paper Street Vineyard with the soft, juicy flavors of Dante Dusi Vineyard. The result is a show-stopper you truly have to taste to believe.
Meet the maker
Janell Dusi grew up among her family’s vines, originally planted when her great-grandparents immigrated from Italy in the 1920s. While her family has been Zin farmers for generations, she's the first to make wine from the family's iconic fruit. Janell's passion and talent is showcased in every bottle (and now, can!)
The label design honors Janell’s grandfather, Dante, a Depression-era baby who instead of buying anything new, painted everything with a coat of “Dusi blue”. The truck is a nod to her grandpa’s fleet of pick-ups which they used to haul and deliver crates of grapes around town.
