Meet the wine
Chenin Blanc (“shen-nin blonk”) is a white wine grape from the Loire Valley that’s kind of having a moment. It’s versatile and high in acidity, making it the perfect food pairing and porch sippin’ wine. The hot days and the cool Delta nighttime breeze in Clarksburg, just 15 miles from Sacramento, make it one of the best places in the world for growing Chenin Blanc. This wine was sourced from Certified Sustainable Wilson Vineyards, and was scored 93 points by the NY Int'l Wine Competition.
Dress it up with oysters and fancy stemware or take it straight outta the can with spicy takeout. The design features the Sac-town skyline as nod to Revolution Wines’ location in the heart of downtown Sacramento.
Meet the maker
Colleen Clothier is a spunky, twenty-something who worked her way up from server to head winemaker in just three years at Revolution, an urban winery in the heart of downtown Sacramento. She sources all their fruit from within 60 miles of the winery, bringing back the tradition of winemaking back to Sacramento and highlighting local AVAs in the process. Now she’s on a mission to put Clarksburg Chenin on the map.
